A Youngstown father was indicted Thursday for violently shaking his 4-month-old daughter to death.

Evan Lee, 22, was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on charges of murder, two counts of endangering children and one count of felonious assault.

The murder charge carries a 15-years-to-life maximum penalty.

Prosecutors said Lee shook Ila Lee, who was born on Christmas Eve, to death in May. She died soon after.

It’s the ninth homicide in Youngstown this year. There were 26 in all of 2012 and 18 at this time last year.
