Greek fest kicks off in Warren

A Valley tradition is underway in Warren. The 46th annual St. Demetrios Greek Festival is going on this weekend at the church on Atlantic Avenue.

Workers were busy Thursday preparing all the Greek food for the festival including lamb and pastries.

The festival will also feature games, rides, cultural demonstrations and dancing.

“It’s one of our main fundraisers and of course we work year round to prepare everything that is needed to have a successful festival,” said Peter D. Larentzos, church treasurer.

The festival runs through Sunday. For a complete schedule of events, click here.
