Public meeting set on I-76 project

The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking the public’s input on a $1.7 million project that  will install noise walls along Interstate Route 76 in the Lake Milton area.

ODOT said the five retrofit walls will be installed from west of Grandview Road to east of N.E. River Road in Milton Township. The project is slated for summer 2014.

The project will be funded by state and federal resources. The final decision to construct the walls will be based on community input, according to ODOT public information officer Justin Chesnic.

The public meeting is set from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the American Legion post 737 in Lake Milton.
