Police raided a methamphetamine lab at an apartment at 1005 Hallock Young Road Unit A in Lordstown Friday afternoon.

According to officials, police went to the apartment with a search warrant following an investigation after neighbors complained of increased activity at the building. Once there, investigators found the lab in a storage building next to the apartment and called a Trumbull County HazMat crew, which removed materials in plastic bags from the property.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Lordstown police and the Trumbull Ashtabula Group drug task force.

No arrests were made and police said the occupant was not home when the raid was conducted about 1 p.m. According to our newspaper partner, the Tribune Chronicle, police made contact with a man who rents a portion of the multi-unit property and asked him to make himself available for questioning.

Police said charges are likely to be filed once the investigation is complete.
