Panerathon: Team Len vs. Team Jim

Are you Team Len or Team Jim?
Are you Team Len or Team Jim?

The Panerathon is August 25, 2013 and the leaders of Daybreak Nation, Len Rome and Jim Loboy want you to join their team!

What is the Panerathon?

The Panerathon is a 10K/2 Mile walk/run and Kids Run and is the largest community fundraising event in the Valley!  100% of the proceeds from the event benefits the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, the only facility of its kind in the area.

How do you join “Team Jim Loboy” or “Team Len Rome”?

Click here to register online.  Near the middle of the form, where it says “Choose a Team”, select either “Team Jim Loboy” or “Team Len Rome”.  Or you may register offline by downloading a registration form (or picking one up at Panera Bread) and filling in the team you wish to join on the form.

Why should you support Panerathon?

The Mahoning Valley actually has the nation’s 4th highest breast cancer mortality rate, so there is still a tremendous need to fight breast cancer in our local area.  100% of the funds from Panerathon will go the help local women get the education, prevention, early diagnosis, and treatments that they need in order to change the statistics right here in our Valley.

What to expect this year?

There will be a post-race recovery area with complementary refreshments for all Panerathon participants.  And an expanded post-race activity area with more fun for the whole family including appearances by local mascots Scrappy and Captain McFinn, face painting, bounce-a-rounds, a firetruck, exhibits from the OH WOW Science Center, and other local vendors.

How much money has Panerathon raised?

100% of all participants’ entry fees go directly to the cause.  Over the past three years, the Panerathon has raised in excess of $500,000 for the Joanie Abdu Center.  Panerathon hosted 6,000 people last year!

More about the Kids Run:

You can register online at Panerathon.org or get a registration form at Panera Bread.  The kids run will occur after the other races so kids may walk with parents in the main events and then run in the kids run.  All kids get a t-shirt, medal and other goodies for participating!
