Beaver Local teachers have tentative agreement

Beaver Local teachers have reached a tentative agreement.

The teachers union voted last month to strike on August 26, the first day of school, if they didn’t have a new contract.

Our print partner The Morning Journal reported the Beaver Local Education Association still has to vote on the terms of the agreement. The vote will take place in a couple of weeks after all members have time to review the contract.

In March, about 50 students walked out of the high school to show their support for the teachers working without a contract.
