Crews battle two fires on the same block

Firefighters worked to contain two fires that started within minutes of each other on Youngstown’s South Side.

The first fire was reported around 9:55 p.m. Monday in the garage of a vacant house at 851 Cambridge Avenue. A few minutes later, another fire broke out at vacant house three doors down at 843 Cambridge Avenue.

A cause for the fires has not been determined.
