A Coitsville man was arrested at his home Tuesday on child pornography charges.

Paul C. Schumacher, 50, of 17 Hop St., was arrested following an investigation by Mahoning County Sheriffs and other agencies.

Schumacher is facing a second-degree felony charge of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, which has an eight-year maximum prison sentence.

Sheriff investigators said they arrested Schumacher at his home, but were tightlipped about other details in the case. Reports and court affidavits were not released Tuesday despite repeated requests.

The complaint filed in Campbell Municipal Court says Schumacher “did…create, record, photograph, film, develop, reproduce, or publish any material that shows a minor participating or engaging” in sex or sex acts.
