Semi rolls over in Lordstown

A car hauler driving through an intersection in Lordstown was struck by a semi truck carrying mulch, which caused mulch to be spilled all over the intersection.

Lordstown police said the car hauler stopped at a stop sign at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Salt Springs Road and Muth Road. When he started to cross Salt Springs Road, the mulch truck driver, who had no stop sign, struck the car hauler.

The driver of the car hauler was taken to an area hospital and the mulch truck flipped over.

The intersection and rail line was shut down while crews cleaned up.
