W. Pa. worker dies in industrial accident

HOMER CITY, Pa. (AP) — A worker has died after an industrial accident at a western Pennsylvania coal mining company.

State police Trooper John Matchik says the accident happened at about 7 a.m. Wednesday. The unidentified man was working at Amerikohl Mining Inc. on the suspension system of a large earth moving truck, but it gave way and he was crushed.

The company says it doesn’t yet have more details on the accident, and authorities are investigating.
