Woman forced to withdraw money at gunpoint

A Warren woman told police she was forced at gunpoint to withdraw nearly $500 from two ATMs.

The 31-year-old woman said she was filling her gas tank at about 10 p.m. Monday at the Sunoco gas station on Mahoning Avenue N.W. when a woman got into car.

When the woman got back into her car, the woman put a gun on top of her purse and said “she would be taking her where she needed to go,” reports said.

The woman directed her at gunpoint to withdraw $480 from two banks, a Huntington Bank and PNC Bank.

The gunwoman and driver both got out of the car at the Giant Eagle on Mahoning Avenue, where the driver called police.
