Police and fire crews in Vienna spent about four hours Thursday searching for a teen who is autistic.
He was located about 9 p.m. on Smith Stewart Road, less than one mile from his home.
Christian Bernard’s mother said he was with her in their Sodom Hutchings Road driveway about 4 p.m. as she was unloading groceries. When she came out of the house to get another load of groceries, he was gone.
There are thick woods behind their home, which is near Turkey Run Road, and a Med-Stat helicopter helped police and firefighters search the area.
Police said this was the second time in the past several months that Bernard, 14, has gone missing.
