A man who already had been hit once by a car trying to cross the street was nearly struck a second time Thursday afternoon.
The man, who has not been identified, was trying to cross Midlothian Boulevard when he was struck.
Police said the impact caused him to drop a bottle of beer on the ground.
As police were finishing reports on the first accident, they had to jump up and grab the man to keep him from walking into oncoming traffic again.
Our cameras caught the man walking across the street after he had purchased another bottle of beer.
