A woman was transported to the hospital after she lost control of her vehicle Thursday afternoon and struck two utility poles.

She was driving a Jeep Cherokee on Wilson Avenue in Campbell when the accident happened just before 4 p.m. Police said she was headed toward the Center Street bridge when she lost control of the vehicle and struck two utility poles.

The crash severely damaged the Cherokee’s front end.

She sustained a couple cuts to her face and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. The accident remains under investigation, but police think speed may have been a factor.
