82-year-old Pa. man sentenced for day care contact

BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — An 82-year-old western Pennsylvania man will spend five years on home electronic monitoring after pleading guilty to inappropriately touching a child who stayed at a since-closed day care run out of his basement.

The Beaver County Times (http://bit.ly/17XAHkW ) reports Clarence Bryan, of Chippewa Township, was sentenced Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to one count of indecent assault. Other charges involving other children were dismissed as part of a plea bargain he agreed to with Beaver County prosecutors in April.

Bryan must register with the state as a sex offender and he may have no unsupervised conduct with anyone younger than 18, including his own grandchildren. He may also not contact any of the three alleged victims in his case.
