Golfers hit the green for ACH

Akron Children’s Hospital of the Mahoning Valley held its third annual Clubs for Kids Golf Classic on Friday.

About 140 golfers gathered at the Youngstown County Club for one of the hospital’s biggest fundraisers.

Organizers predict the outing will bring in more than $60,000 which will go towards programs and services at the hospital.

“It’s not only important for the funds that we raise, but it’s also important to help us educate the community about what we do and to meet new business partners in the community as well,” said JoAnn Stock, director of development with Akron Children’s Hospital.

Over the past three years, the event has raised over $100,000.
