Five catalytic converters were stolen from a Warren auto dealer sometime this week.

The manager of Agree Auto Sales on Youngstown Road S.E. told police that the car parts, valued at $750, were stolen from underneath vehicles parked in his lot sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Dealers and salvage yards in nearby Lawrence and Columbiana counties reported a rash of catalytic converter thefts.

More than 30 were stolen from a Little Beaver Township salvage yard and several others were stolen from private residences in the township between June 25 and June 30.

Other parts and batteries were stolen from Wayne Township.

Also in July, 30 catalytic converters were reported stolen from car dealerships in Salem and Columbiana.
