Dozens of kids from the Warren area have a new ride thanks to donations from the community.

Forever Two Wheels, a bike club in Warren organized a bike giveaway Saturday for local children 15 years old and younger.

Some of the bikes were donated by members of the community and fixed up by members of the group, and the rest of the bikes were bought thanks to the bike club’s Poker Run fundraiser in July.

Club members said they want to give kids in Warren something to believe in.

“We knew what it was like growing up without bicycles. I grew up in Westlawn in Warren and I didn’t have a bicycle,” said Davey Doo, president Forever to Wheels. “I figured once I got older, own my own business, I’ve got my own bike club and figured I’d give back to the community.”

This is the third year for the event held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Warren.
