Boardman accident hospitalizes two

Two people were sent to the hospital following a head-on collision in Boardman on Sunday afternoon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a male and a female were each transported to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center with serious injuries following the crash. The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Tippecanoe Road, near Leffingwell Road.

The Highway Patrol said the driver of the car went left of center and struck the SUV head-on.

Boardman Police and the Sheriff’s Department also assisted on the crash.
