Investigation of teen’s death continues

The investigation continues into the shooting death of a teenager this weekend.

The Warren Police Department is asking for any information that the public may have after McKayla Hopkins, 18, died from a gunshot wound to the torso late Friday night.

Hopkins was attending a birthday party at the pavilion at Perkins Park in Warren when she was shot. Police said the death is being investigated as a homicide, but they have no suspects at this time.
