1 dead in Shenango crash

An elderly man was killed Monday in a crash in Shenango Township.

The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on Route 388 at Frew Mill Road.

According to police, Lamoine Hartzell, 82, of Ellwood City was traveling west on Frew Mill road when he pulled into the path of a Dodge Ram pickup traveling north on Route 388.

Hartzell’s Ford F-150 pickup truck flipped over and landed on the passenger side.

Hartzell was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup, Randall Giangiuli, 47, of New Castle, was not injured.
