1-year-old in southwest Ohio dies from injuries

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — Police say a 1-year-old boy has died after being found unresponsive in a home in southwest Ohio.

Officers responded to the home in Hamilton Friday night and found the boy, who was rushed to a hospital.

Hamilton police then charged 20-year-old Dylan Tompkins with child endangering for the injuries the boy suffered.

Officials say the boy died Sunday from his injuries.

Police say they will meet with the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if charges against Tompkins will be ungraded.

Police did not immediately release additional information.
