Ohio inmate walks away from work site along I-70

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — State prisons officials say an inmate has walked away from a work assignment along Interstate 70 near London, Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction said 28-year-old Spencer Johnson left an outside work assignment picking up trash around 2 p.m. The crew was working in the area of mile marker 81.

An active search is under way for Johnson. He is a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds. When last seen, he was wearing a state-issued khaki shirt and khaki pants.
