Arson is suspected after a house was destroyed by fire in Sharon early Monday morning.

The fire broke out around one a.m. in the 300 block of Alderman Avenue, on Sharon’s South Side.

Fire officials said the two-story vacant house was fully engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived on scene. The fire appeared to have started on the first floor and spread quickly to the second floor and attic.

No one was hurt.

An investigation continues into the cause of the incident.
