A woman walking into an Austintown bank was attacked and robbed.

According to Austintown Police, a man came up behind a woman walking into the Huntington Bank on S. Raccoon Road around 11:10 a.m. Monday and snatched a money bag from her hand. The man pushed the woman to the ground and took off. Police said the woman chased the suspect before he pulled a gun on her and told her to stop chasing him.

A K-9 unit tracked the suspect but eventually lost the lead.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, thin build, wearing a light blue shirt, blue jeans and a hat.

The woman was making a deposit for Camelot Arms Care Center in Cornersberg.
