A reality show with depth: Live ocean exploration

WASHINGTON (AP) — There are vicious fights, stunning beauties and surprises around every corner. Yes, it’s reality TV but with a lot more depth — as much as 10,000 feet.

It’s live coverage of deep-sea exploration off Nantucket and tens of thousands of people are tuning in to watch along with the scientists.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is now daily live streaming wild and weird marine life from cameras on a robotic submarine.

The public can watch and listen as researchers explain the science and action.
