Community day held at Southern Park Mall

Southern Park Mall in Boardman welcomed several non-profit agencies to the complex on Friday to educate the public on the work they do.

About 40 organizations set up shop with tables and booths highlighting events and programs.

Sheryl Raulin with Southern Park Mall said the event is a great way for groups to connect with shoppers.

“I think there is a need in the community for the services that these organizations provide,” said Raulin. “They also want to get the exposure and make more people aware of what they have to offer to the community.”

Community day continues until 9 p.m. Friday.
