Cross shape burned in lawn near Pittsburgh school

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police were investigating after a burn mark in the shape of a cross was found in the grassy hillside outside a Pittsburgh school.

The large, black mark was found Friday morning outside Pittsburgh Mifflin, a school that serves pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students.

Police have not made any arrests and aren’t believed to have any suspects.

City arson investigators believe someone used gasoline to burn the cross shape into the grass.
