Following last night’s postponement against Lowell, the Scrappers will try and end their three-game losing streak with a visit from Hudson Valley. This will be the first meeting this year between these two clubs.

Mahoning Valley (CLE) is currently in 5th place in the Pinckney Division trailing Jamestown (PIT) by 10.5 games. On the other hand, Hudson Valley (TB) is 1.5 games behind Aberdeen (BAL) in the McNamara Division.

Caleb Hamrick is coming off of a strong outing at Connecticut last Friday. The 19-year old right hander threw 5 innings and allowed only one earned run while striking out a season-high 5 batters. However, he registered a no decision. In his 9 starts this season, Hamrick is 1-5 with a 4.60 ERA while fanning 30 batters in 43 innings.

The Renegades have lost five in a row, allowing 41 runs during that stretch. Hudson Valley features the Ray’s 5th round choice from the 2013 Draft in second baseman Johnny Field. The Arizona product has hit safely in his last six games (8-26). On the season, Field has compiled a .253 average (41-162) with 10 stolen bases and 16 doubles.
