Police: 2 Ohio women go shopping with stolen cards

MENTOR, Ohio (AP) — Police in northeast Ohio are looking for two women who authorities say have gone on a shopping spree with stolen credit cards.

Mentor Police Department Lt. Dan Molnar says the suspects have spent about $5,000 in merchandise including purses, shoes and gift cards mostly in stores around the area.

WJW in Cleveland (http://bit.ly/1cDbt0i ) reports police have arrested two other suspects, a woman and a juvenile, who tried to return some of the merchandise bought with the stolen credit cards.

Twenty-eight-year-old Ashley Robinson, of Warrensville Heights, was arrested when she tried to return a handbag at a department store. Molnar says the female juvenile was taken into custody when she attempted to return a pair of shoes saying they were the wrong size.

Robinson’s attorney could not be reached for comment.
