Step forward for Delphi retirees

Another small victory was claimed Friday for Delphi salaried retirees still trying to recover their pensions, which were not protected by the auto bailout.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee issued a subpoena on Friday demanding Secretary of the Treasury, Jacob Lew, release records and information spelling out who got what and why in the Obama Administration’s 2009 federal bailout of the auto industry.

Delphi representatives testified in front of a subcommittee in Dayton on this topic back in June. Some salaried retirees lost up to 70 percent of their pensions.
