A Hubbard church is making sure kids have everything they need to start the new school year.
Corner House Christian School hosted its second annual Back to School Carnival Sunday evening.
Congregation members chipped in to help stuff 150 bags full of makers, pencils, notebooks and much more.
This year the church was also able to give out back packs to elementary students.
The pastor said the giveaway is the church’s way of helping out its community.
“We just want to help out in any little way we can because we know the Mahoning valley has been hit hard in the last ten years, and so, well, probably going back further than that, so we just want to make a difference in our little community here,” said Minister Dave Coxson.
The event also included free carnival activities and food for kids.
