Couple tied up, robbed

A group of men broke into a Warren home early Tuesday, tied up two residents and stole more than $3,000, according to police.

Reports say a five men at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday broke into a home in the 1000 block of Mason Street S.W. and tied up the residents, a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman.

The two told police the group of men, who they said they did not know, ransacked their home looking for items to steal.

Reports say the group stole jewelry and a watch, valued at $1,000, two cell phones and $3,600 in cash.

The man told police he was pistol whipped in the head but refused medical treatment.

Detectives said they are trying to determine the validity of the report.

The 32-year-old man reported Saturday someone fired several shots into their home from the street. No one was injured in the shooting, according to police.
