An East Palestine woman pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges that she left her infant children inside her car for nearly one hour while she attempted to shoplift from Walmart in Boardman.
Morgan Parker, 26, of Alice Street, entered the not guilty plea Tuesday in Mahoning County Boardman Area Court on child endangering and theft charges. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 1.
Reports say Walmart surveillance video shows Parker going into the store 2:14 p.m. Friday and was detained at 3:06 p.m. Walmart security checked on Parker’s 10-month-old son and 3-year-old daughter who were alone inside Parker’s car.
The children were released to their father.
Reports say security also found she bought some groceries but tried to steal a Browns shirt and a pair of earrings.
Parker’s criminal history includes several drug and theft charges since 2005.
