Pa. boy, 15, jailed in attack on disabled friend

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Authorities say a Pittsburgh teen attacked his disabled best friend over a girl, choking him from behind and beating him until he was unconscious.

The 15-year-old suspect, Kenneth Murphy, is being held in Allegheny County Jail.

His friend, Allan Littlejohn Jr., tells police that the two were walking in a park toward a convenience store when Murphy asked him, “What’s your last words before you die?”

Littlejohn assumed his friend was joking, until he attacked. Littlejohn, who has muscular dystrophy and sometimes uses leg braces, woke up in the rain about a day later and crawled out of the woods and asked for help.

Murphy acknowledged the attack in an interview with WPXI-TV. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.
