If you didn’t know better, the weather may seem like a cruel joke from Mother Nature. The calendar says it is the middle of August, but people are donning sweaters and light jackets against some not very summer-like conditions.

Temperatures on Wednesday were hovering in the mid to upper 60s and with the light breeze, it felt a bit chillier. This time of year temperatures should be in the low to mid 80s.

“I think it’s crazy, everybody getting sick. We should be somewhere on the beach, not with winter coats on,” said Delia Rosario of Boardman. “It’s very, very cold out right now. It’s a big change.”

Despite the early autumn preview, normal temperatures are expected to return this weekend.
