Obama sees sun, hits links for another golf game

EDGARTOWN, Mass. (AP) — As the skies turned blue and the sun illuminated Martha’s Vineyard, the vacationing President Barack Obama hit the links again.

The White House says the president played golf Wednesday with World Bank President Jim Kim, Comcast chief executive Brian Roberts and former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

The game at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown was Obama’s third round of golf since he arrived Saturday on this picturesque Massachusetts island. It was his second at the Vineyard club.

Heavy rain Tuesday scuttled any golf plans Obama may have had. He played basketball instead.

Afterward, Obama and first lady Michelle Obama spent nearly two hours at Roberts’ home in Vineyard Haven before heading to the nearby State Road Restaurant for dinner.
