Police: Girl, 15, driving when brother, 8, died

ERIE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 15-year-old girl was driving a sport-utility vehicle that rolled over, killing her 8-year-old brother and injuring three other teenage passengers in northwestern Pennsylvania.

The Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/19hP4BV ) reports Erie police did not immediately identify the girl or the passengers Wednesday. The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday and involved what police called the family’s vehicle.

Investigators were still at the crash scene Wednesday morning, and no additional information was being released on the incident or those injured.

Police say the Chevrolet Suburban was speeding when it went out of control, rolled and flipped before coming to rest in some trees and bushes.

Police say four of those inside were ejected, and two were trapped underneath the vehicle. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
