Youngstown firefighters battled a blaze Wednesday night at an apartment on the city’s South Side.

Flames broke out just after 11 p.m. at an apartment above the former Angelo’s Pizza on South Avenue.

A WKBN photographer spotted the fire coming back to the station from another story and called 911.

Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
