Wall checked for blood at missing NC teen’s home

SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) — Search warrants issued in the disappearance of a North Carolina teenager say investigators seized stained flooring from the girl’s home and are checking red-stained drywall for blood.

The Salisbury Post reports that investigators also found a book about the disappearance of JonBenet Ramsey. They also found a plastic bag with magazines about the 6-year-old JonBenet, who was found dead in her Colorado home in 1996.

Authorities are trying find out what happened to Erica Lynn Parsons. She was 13 when she was last seen in November 2011. She was reported missing July 30.

Sandy and Casey Parsons have said their adopted daughter went to live with her biological grandmother in Asheville, but the sheriff’s office say that information isn’t true.

The couple’s attorney, Carlyle Sherrill, told reporters the family wants to help find Erica.
