A local bank is providing free parking to students and faculty at Youngstown State University for the first week of school.
Home Savings paid for all the parking meters surrounding the campus for the first week of classes running August 19 through August 23.
Bank officials hope the free parking will help to ease some of the stress students feel returning to class.
“As a local bank, we are always looking for ways to give back in the communities that we serve. We wanted to do something for YSU to show them how important they are to us,” said Colleen Scott, Vice President of Marketing. “We had such a great response from the university and the community when we did that last year, we wanted to do it again.”
Home Savings operates a full-service bank as well as five ATMs on the campus of YSU.
