Sendoff set for Miss Ohio

Heather Mills

Trumbull County officials are looking to have a big sendoff for the reigning Miss Ohio before she hits the Miss America Pageant stage.

A fundraiser is being held at 6:30 p.m. Friday in honor of Heather Wells at Aulizio’s Banquet Center in Warren. Wells will give well-wishers a sneak peak of what they will see on TV such as her clothes and talent. Wells, a former WKBN intern, said it’s the community’s support that has helped get her this far.

“They just believe in me and that helped me believe in myself, so having the community support really means a lot,” said Wells. “It helps me believe in myself and to help me go out and do my best and to know that no matter what coming back, as Miss America or Miss Ohio, they love me and support me and it makes me feel good.”
