Thomas leads Hubbard past Girard


Senior Melissa Thomas racked up four goals with one assist to lead Hubbard past Girard 10-0  in girls high school soccer action Monday night.

Amber Mierzwa and Marissa Grande each added a pair of goals and an assist for the Eagles.  Bri Grande and Alaina Colella also tallied goals for Hubbard.

Ashley Jones had two saves in goal  for the Eagles, while Girard’s Jenna Dodson finished with 23 saves in the setback.

Claire Puncekar, Jenna Parkany, and Cassidy Costick each recorded assists in the victory.

Hubbard is now 1-0 to start the season, while Girard drops to 0-1.
