The group says Band had a spinal fracture, three broken teeth and needed 15 stiches in his chin. It released a photo of him in bandages.

The Los Angeles-based group had the 2001 hit “Wherever You Will Go.”

Police say one suspect is white and about 30 with a scruffy beard and was wearing a camouflage baseball cap. Another is white and about 6-foot-4 inches. Police say a third was driving the van and had a darker complexion.
