Hickory’s Coleman headed to Gannon

Former Hickory standout DeShawn Coleman is now playing college football at Gannon. The Hornets career rushing and touchdowns leader had originally signed to play at West Virginia. Coleman was cleared by the NCAA to play for the Mountaineers, but it was later discovered that school credits from his time at Keystone Charter School did not transfer. Coleman was forced to find another school and chose Division II Gannon.

Coleman finished his career as Mercer County’s all-time leading rusher.
