Meeting set to discuss flooding

Newton Falls flooding
Several roads and homes in Newton Falls are flooded after heavy rains moved through the area Thursday afternoon.

Recent flooding in Trumbull County is the subject of a special meeting Thursday night in Newton Falls.

During heavy downpours in early August, businesses in Newton Falls were flooded out. Also, the Newton Falls Community Park was under water.

Trumbull County engineers will be hand to answer questions from residents and offer solutions to fix the high water problem. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Newton Falls Community Center, 53 E. Quarry St.
