Mission holds school supply giveaway

School supplies

The Warren Family Mission is helping to send hundreds of local students back to school with the supplies they need.

A school supply giveaway was held Friday at the mission on Elm Road. Director of Development and Public Relations Michelle Beauchene said about 300 to 400 kids benefit from the giveaway.

The mission started collecting supplies last month and asked area residents for donations. She said the response of the community was overwhelming.

“When we have a call, they answer it. You can tell we are a very close-knit community because when there is a call for help, they always answer,” said Beauchene. “This way they can help students get a good start when head back to school.”

Beauchene said students who missed the giveaway can call the mission at 330-469-9107.
