Ohio worker soaks armed robbers with hot water

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Police in northeast Ohio say a fast-food worker grabbed a hose and fired hot water at two armed robbers effectively stopping their heist attempt.

The Akron restaurant’s manager told police he was cleaning cookware in the back of the facility Wednesday when a man’s shadow appeared by a rear door. When he went to check, two men, one of them flashing a handgun, rushed inside. Police say it was then that the manager drew the hose and fired hot water forcing the robbers to leave.

Surveillance video shows that seconds later, the armed robber went back inside, but the manager again sent the man out the door with the hot water hose.

The Akron Beacon Journal (http://bit.ly/1f7vRU5 ) reported Thursday police say they believe the same men robbed the restaurant Sunday.
