Ann Arbor film fest names new executive director

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — The Ann Arbor Film Festival has named Leslie Raymond as its new executive director.

Raymond has been associated with the film fest for more than 20 years, as a member of the screening committee, program organizer, panelist and advisory board member.

Her own film, video and installation work has been exhibited at a number of editions of the festival since 1995.

Raymond has degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Michigan School of Art & Design.

She founded a New Media Program in studio art at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has given lessons in digital, video and new media art at Oakland University.

The 52nd Ann Arbor Film Festival will be held in March.
