Howland’s Perez shines in season opener

Howland defeated Hubbard 9-0 in girls high school soccer Monday night.

Senior Seyla Perez led the way for the Tigers with four goals. The University of Pittsburgh recruit tallied three of those in the first half. Jenna Dorchock notched a hat trick as well for Howland. Jada Pagan and Lydia Weisman scored the other goals.

Howland had 22 shots on goal to Hubbard’s four.

The Tigers improve to 1-0 on the season. Hubbard falls to 1-2.
